WAUSAU, WI – Celebrating 125 Years of Excellence is the theme for Wausau Water Works’ 125th Anniversary Celebration which will be held on September 22nd and 23rd.
Festivities will kick off on Wednesday, September 22nd at 12:30 p.m. with a special anniversary program at the Wausau Water Treatment Plant, 1801 North River Drive. Nancy Quirk, Chair of the Wisconsin Water Association; Representative Donna Seidel, 85th Assembly District; and Ken Blomberg, Executive Director of Wisconsin Rural Water Association will be guest speakers. Refreshments will be served and tours of the Water Plant will be conducted between 1 p.m.-6 p.m.
On Thursday, September 23rd, the Wausau Wastewater Treatment Plant, 435 Adrian Street will open its doors to the public for tours between the hours of 1 p.m.-6 p.m.
Wausau Water Works customers will have an opportunity to register for a drawing for a $125.00 credit on their utility bill, as well as other prizes.
