NOTICE
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT
AND PUBLIC HOUSING PROGRAM PUBLIC HEARINGS
The City of Wausau Citizen Advisory Committee on Community Development will be holding two public hearings to receive comments on each of the following items:
A. Housing and Community Development Objectives and Needs
Community Development needs relative to the 2011 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program and Public Housing are important for identifying activities and issues for the upcoming year and establishing goals for the 5 year Consolidated Plan and Public Housing Plan objectives.
B. Community Development Block Grant Performance
The City of Wausau invites individuals and interested agencies an opportunity to comment on the City’s performance relative to initiating and completing Community Development Block Grant contracts and activities including delivery of service, range of activities, meeting national objectives, compliance with regulations and project completion.
C. Consolidated Plan
The City of Wausau Community Development Department/Authority is in the process of preparing its 2nd annual plan as part of the 5 year Consolidated Plan and Public Housing Plan. The public may offer comments, recommendations and suggestions identifying goals for the 2011 Annual Plan for Block Grant and the Public Housing Plan. The public hearings will be held on:
DATES: Monday, August 30, 2010 @ 5:00 p.m. and Monday, September 20, 2010 @ 5:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers. Both meetings held at:

Prior to the August 30, 2010 and September 20, 2010 public hearings, two informational sessions will be held on Tuesday, August 24th, 2010 at 5:00 pm in the Board Room and Thursday, August 26th, 2010 at 2:00 pm in the Board Room regarding the Community Development Block Grant Program.
The Community Development Department of the City of Wausau is currently accepting proposals for the program year 2011 until the close of the public hearing on September 20, 2010.
