FIREFIGHTER / PARAMEDIC
The CITY OF WAUSAU is conducting a recruitment for the position of Firefighter/Paramedic for the Wausau Fire Department. This position responds to emergencies & performs fire suppression activities, rescue work, hazardous materials response, & advanced life-support emergency medical service.
Mandatory requirements include HS diploma or GED, valid WI driver’s license, WI Firefighter I & II certification, WI Paramedic licensure, Haz-mat operations certification, NIMS 700 & 100 certifications, and ability to wear respirator equipment.
Starting salary: $3,429.02/month plus additional compensation for EMT-Paramedic, per the 2009 Wausau Firefighter Assn labor agreement.
