Grab your kids, talk a walk and read a story with our brand new Trail Tales storybook path located along a walking route from Alexander Airport Park to Memorial Park. The trail begins at Alexander Airport Park. The first book is appropriate for toddlers and is divided by its pages and posted along the sidewalk in front of Wausau Flying Service, continuing to the sidewalk on Marshall along North Central Health Care Center. The second book is appropriate for elementary school students and begins at the Memorial Park sidewalk on Lillie Street. The trail is sponsored by the Wausau and Marathon County Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department, Marathon County Public Library, Marathon County Literacy Council with support from Altrusa Club, Wausau Flying Service and the Airport Explorer Troop. The tales will be on display from April 21 to May 31.
