Riverview Terrace is a Residential Care Apartment Complex (RCAC) licensed to provide each resident up to 28 hours per week of supportive, personal and nursing services.  Residents live in the privacy of their own apartments while surrounded by a community of older adults in one of Wausau's beautiful neighborhoods.

 Location:

Riverview Terrace is located just one-half mile south of downtown Wausau, directly behind Riverview Towers.  It is a 36 unit apartment building adjacent to Hammond Park and close to Wausau Fire Department and Public Safety Building.  The Wausau Community Development Authority offices connect to Riverview Terrace as well as to Riverview Towers.
 

Services Provided:

The staff provides personal and supportive services daily from 7:30 am - 9:00 pm, and has security staff on call in the evenings for emergencies.  Personal and supportive services may include bathing and dressing assistance, personal grooming, laundry and housekeeping services, medication reminders and meal planning and preparation.  A noon-time meal is also provided 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Family members and residents alike can rest assured that Riverview Terrace is safe and comfortable, with Lifeline 24 hour emergency response included in the monthly service fee.
 

Building & Apartment Amenities:

One the first floor you will find a community dining room, television, sunroom with a fireplace, guest room, beauty/barber shop, elevators and staff offices.  Riverview Terrace has on-site maintenance staff and overnight security.

Each apartment is approximately 523 square feet consisting of one bedroom, living room, kitchen and bathroom with a walk-in shower.  A storage unit is also provided for each apartment.

Each apartment is equipped with an electric range, a frost-free refrigerator, heat and air conditioning controls, interphone security system, Lifeline service and emergency pull-cords in the kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom. 
 

Eligibility:

To be eligible for Riverview Terrace, an individual must be at least 62 years of age and successfully complete a functional assessment conducted through the Community Development Authority.  The gross annual household income must not exceed the limits detailed below.

*Annual income includes income from all sources including actual or imputed income earned on assets (whichever is greater).  There is no asset limit.

Costs:

Residents make two payments, a monthly service fee and rent: The monthly service fee is $720.00 for 1 person and $1081.00 for 2 people. Rent is based on 30% of adjusted gross monthly household income, from which medical expenses are deducted before income is calculated.  Monthly rent & service fee includes all utilities (gas, electricity, water/sewer) with the exception of telephone and cable services, all assisted living services, laundry, house-keeping, daily noon-time meal, lifeline, and social activities.
